The Desert is Made of ...Mac-n-Cheese?

I admit it: in some things I'm very much a traditionalist. I don't, for example, like blue M&Ms. I also don't like Crayola crayons with names like "macaroni-n-cheese." But I found a set in the house here, and darned if that wasn't a real nice color for the mountains. So, in the tradition of the moon being made of green cheese...

Below is the sunrise behind the house. Near the top of the hill is a saguaro with short arms that looks rather like a cross.
