Vence and St. Paul

Saint Paul de Vence Made trips to both St. Paul de Vence and Vence, the latter to see the chapel that Matisse designed (below).

In March, both towns were pretty dead. The restaurant I had targeted for lunch in Vence was closed, so I ended up as the only customer at a Vietnamese place. Got engrossed in about an hour's conversation with the patronne, about the difficulties of having an Asian restaurant in Vence. The conversation was more spicy than the food, which might have been part of the problem :)
